Southwestern Throws: Staying Warm in Style

When fall and winter comes, I just love wrapping up in my southwestern throws.  They are so warm and versatile too.  My throws are used for a variety of purposes in my home.  I love to have them on the back of the sofa or chairs.  It makes it easier to pull over and keep warm while sitting around with friends or even reading in front of the fireplace.  You may even throw them over end tables, coffee tables, or on the dinner table just for looks.

I have even seen southwestern throws hanging in front of windows as curtains.  This style is perfect if you like to have a dark room in the morning, especially when you want to sleep in a few more minutes.  It also gives your rooms a little something extra instead of using just plain dark curtains.  Using a southwestern throw as a window cover will really accent with your other southwestern decor.

You can also use throws as wrapping paper for any holiday or special gifts.  How wonderful would it be to receive or give a gift with a little personality and thought?  All you have to do is set your gift in the middle, bring the corners up into the center and tie it off with beautiful ribbon.  You might even want to keep it rustic and tie it off with rope or twine of some kind.  Creativity may go beyond anyone’s imagination.
