As I look for ways to decorate my Tucson adobe style home, I came to realize how important it is to use the correct accent pieces to create a completed southwestern look. Along with my rustic log furniture and colorful walls, I have found that using rustic western barn wood candle holders to be a wonderful way to give a welcoming atmosphere in my home. I especially like using these candles in places such as on my coffee table and also in my kitchen on the counter top. With the low candle lighting, the shadows created, play off the beautiful southwest rugs and copper accents, giving a very pleasing effect.
An important room that often isn’t given the proper attention when decorating, is the bathroom. At the end of the day, as I relax in soapy bubbles in my antique claw foot tub, I like the cozy feeling the western barn wood candle holders create. With quiet classical music playing in the background, the candle lighting is perfect. It highlights the arched doorways and ceiling beams and casts soft shadows throughout the room. The used barn wood comes from centuries of the past so I like to imagine what life was like throughout the years.
