I absolutely love hearing about new home decor ideas that make my southwest table runner stand out in my southwestern home. Anyone can lay it across their furniture, but I love to have unique ways to use them. I mentioned earlier that you can use them as bookends, a continuous placemat and draped over your refrigerator. Well, the other day someone told me their idea of how they were going to use their new southwest table runners.
They were remodeling their room in a southwestern theme and had loved the rich colors and designs of the woven wool runners. Instead of using them on their tables or dressers, they are going to use them as a divider in the corner. She stated that they wanted a different approach to add color in the room. Hanging from the ceiling will be a beautiful woven runner divider with colors that really bring the room to life.
I loved the idea so much that I have decided to have a few hung in my guest room. One of the corners needed some color and southwest spice. Instead of having the runners free hang at the bottom, I attached them to the wall and placed a small drum table in front. It basically looks like I have a wave of colors pouring out the ceiling that flows behind the table. You will enjoy the new unique ways to use your southwest table runners.
