Lighting For Southwest Décor

When you are ready to choose lighting for your room, finished with southwest decor, there are many options from which you may choose.  A variety of materials are used in southwest lighting, including lamps or chandeliers made of wrought iron as well as wood and rustic pottery. Rawhide or painted leather shades complete the look with these types of lamps. For soft accent lighting, consider placing candle holders made of old barn wood about the room. For a grand lighting option that creates a center focal point, consider an antler shed chandelier. This type of lighting option would be great for a dining room, den or entryway.

Small covered wagon table lamps are the perfect compliment for any room that is decorated in a southwestern  or western style. They are an excellent choice for southwestern decor as they tend to bring back memories of pioneer days from long ago and the western frontier. If you are looking for a more romantic look, consider a wrought iron wall-mounted sconce that uses a dimmer switch. Sconces can be added to any room to create an authentic southwestern look. Be sure to see the importance of lighting in your southwest decor to create the desired atmosphere.
